Courtney Ward will officially rise to the rank of Associate Professor of Economics as of 1 July 2024. Now holding the title of Assistant Professor, the Teaching Stream faculty member’s courses focus on data analysis, applied econometrics and topics in health economics. According to department leadership, the undergraduate programs will benefit from Ward’s promotion. “Our Teaching Stream faculty are vital to the department’s commitment to undergraduate education and ensuring that we remain the premier undergraduate economics program in the country,” said Professor Robert Gazzale, Associate Chair of Undergraduate Studies. “With her commitment to effective pedagogy, the cutting-edge of the economics profession, and ultimately her students’ success, Courtney Ward personifies the strength of our Teaching Stream. We are grateful that Courtney has chosen to solidify her commitment to the Department of Economics and look forward to her continued success.”
