
Welcome home Professor Tabord-Meehan. The Department of Economics is pleased to announce the appointment of Max Tabord-Meehan to the role of Associate Professor. The econometrician interested in both theoretical and applied area of the sub-discipline joins the University of Toronto from the University of Chicago where he has taught since 2019 after completing his PhD at Northwestern the same year. He earned his MA in Economics at the University of Western Ontario and a B. Math from the University of Waterloo.
“I’m originally from Toronto, and I’m excited to return to my hometown and join a world-class department.” Professor Tabord-Meehan said. “I look forward to continuing my research, advising students, and exploring new areas in econometrics.”
Tabord-Meehan will teach the undergraduate courses ECO375, Applied Econometrics, and ECO475, Applied Econometrics II, for the upcoming semester. Students can expect to explore the use of tools that can be broadly used in their studies and work. [Read more…]
