The Department of Economics is thrilled to welcome Tenzin Chosang who was appointed on 1 July 2024 to the position of Instructional Support Assistant. Chosang will work directly with Johnny Tong and replace Jacklyn Rabinovich while she is on parental leave. In addition to duties assigned by the associate chairs, instructional support assistants with the department are responsible for test, assignment, and exam grading, exam invigilation, and for setting tutorial quizzes. They work with both undergraduate and graduate course instructors during all sessions of the academic year.
Chosang brings unique and appropriate experience to the position. She holds a BSc in Psychology from York University where she was a teaching and research assistant in various labs. She was also a lifeguard and swimming instructor for the City of Toronto, working with a range of students from toddlers to adults learning to swim for the first time.
“The most important aspect of this position for me is to serve as a valuable resource to students, faculty and the administration at the University of Toronto, performing my duties efficiently and effectively as an instructional support assistant,” Chosang said.
